Shoes and Hose

Everyone must wear shoes, no bare feet allowed! These shoes must be closed-toed! It is best to look for simple leather shoes. Most closed-toed styles of Birkenstocks, moccasins (without fringe), and Mary-Janes work well. Tall boots and some shorter boots are acceptable. No sandals, flip-flops, cowboy boots, or tennis shoes are approved. Bare legs are scandalous and in general frowned upon. An exception to that rule is only allowed for the Washer Women's Guild. Everyone else should wear tights, heavy stockings, or knee high socks. Please no pantyhose.

Exceptions to the general rules regarding shoes are for the beverage department and caterers. If you are a stand manager, tapster, or work in the kitchen at a food both you may wear steel-toed shoes for safety reasons.
