| Shirts, Jerkins, and Doublets: |
|
Everyone must wear a shirt. Shirts should be long sleeved and full bodied. Roll up sleeves if need be.
Drawstring, yoked, high collared, drop collared, or no collared shirts are acceptable. Modern button front shirts do not work.
Over your shirt you must wear a Jerkin or Doublet. A jerkin may be a simple laced up or buttoned, loose fitting vest.
It may be more form-fitted and have eqaulets and some kind of waist skirting.
Doublets are a more close-fitted garment with nicer additions at the shoulders and waist. Doublets also have sleeves.

Pants must be full and voluminous, not form fitting. Length may be thigh high, above the knee, or just below the knee.
You may also wear trews (long loose pajama type pants) only if you cross-garter them below the knee.
You may use leather thongs or twisted strips of cloth for this purpose. Zippers and pockets (not generally appropriate) must not show.
You can have a button fly front closure. Better yet, create a codpiece and be proud of it!
