All women must wear an appropriate 16th century bodice. It must be a snug fitted vest type garment.
It should give you form and support. It does not have to be too small – pain is not necessary.
The neckline of the bodice should be at least ½˝ above the nipple line of your body.
You must not cut your bodice below the bust line. It may be curved or square necked, laced or buttoned, pointed or straight at the waist.
Chemises must be worn under bodices and inside skirts. Do not substitute a long chemise for a second skirt or apron.
Never wear your chemise off your shoulders. Your chemise can have a high or low neckline; it can also be high collared.
