Costuming
All participants that interact with the public must first have their costumes approved by Freda. She will work with you and guide you to the proper Faire attire. Costume Approvals will be available each of the workshop days. Check w/Lady Sutherland (Linda) about times each day. Below are two links to give you a guide line and help you on your way.

Fabrics for men & women should be natural (cotton, wool, raw silk), as should colors. Use colors such as browns, greens, golds, and rust. Avoid purple, bright reds, blacks, pastels, and fluorescence.

• Is your head covered?  Are you wearing a hat?
  If your hair is shoulder length or longer and naturally colored you may wear a garland, if not you must wear a hat at all times.
• Are your shoulders covered?  Do you have a long sleeved chemise?
• Does your bodice have shoulder straps and cover your nipples?
• You are required to wear two skirts.
• Have you removed all evidence of the 21st century?
  • Watches
  • Sunglasses
  • Cigarettes
  • Nail polish
  • Noticeable make-up? (including glitter)
  • Tattoos covered?
  • Visible body piercings removed?
• Are your legs and ankles covered?
  Remember, naked legs are scandalous!
• Regarding jewelry and adornment.
  You may wear one earring per ear. You may wear a minimal amount of whatever product the booth you are working in sells, meaning a mug in a pewter booth, or a special necklace in a jewelry booth. If your character is a complete peasant or works in a game booth then you would have no jewelry and very little adornment.
• Do you have closed toed shoes on? No sandals, cowboy boots, tennis shoes, bobby sox, anklets or nylons please.
• Are you dressed top to toe in women's clothing?
  (no cross-dressing permitted...)
