Guard of Honour

Hail Good Gentlemen and Ladies.

My friends and comrades in arms. If you carry a sword, then you are invited to join us. The Guard of Honor is a new group within Friends of Faire. It was first formed in 2009 as an adjunct to other groups in FOF. Our purpose is to have an Honor Guard for those times when we have VIPs in the Garden who warrant an honor guard, such as Her Majesty the Queen and any persons that our Lord and Lady Sutherland deem worthy of such a Guard. We also will be the Guard of Honor for special events within the garden such as on the day of the Memorial Wall; when we add and honor the names of our departed family, friends, and comrades. We also salute Her Majesty's procession upon her return to the Royal Glade after the Queen's Joust. You will usually see us performing that salute on the bridge.

Anyone wishing to be a part of the Guard of Honor, must be part of another group within FOF as our duties are not onerous enough to warrant a participant pass as yet.
